Gauhati University (GU) has finally declared GU Research Eligibility Test (RET) 2017 results. RET 2017 examination was held for admissions to different PHD programmes. Candidates will get admission into various Ph.D. courses commencing in autumn session.

University has declared the result for all 47 disciplines and candidates can check their names in the merit list declared by University. Counseling process for admission to various Ph.D. Programmes is expected to be complete by 30th July, 2017.
Gauhati University conducts Research Eligibility Test (RET) for admission to various Masters of Philosophy and Ph.D. Programmes. GU RET 2017 is the first screening test after candidates have completed Central Application Process (CAP). GU RET 2017 examination comprised of two parts. The first part had questions related to reasoning and aptitude, mental ability and basic computer knowledge. Second paper tested the candidate intelligence on the subject he/she has applied for. University has limited the final admission of exempted students into the Ph.D. programme or M.Phil to a maximum of 50% of total applicants admitted in any discipline in 2017-2018.

Candidates can check out details of students who are eligible for admission to various Ph.D. programmes for the session 2017-2018. Candidates whose name appears in the merit list of various disciplines are eligible for further process of counselling. Counseling date and time have not been released yet; though the head of various departments will intimate further details soon.
